Ehlers Danlos & Subtypes Name Submissions

Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) is a group of hereditary connective-tissue disorders that affect collagen — the body’s essential “glue.” Because collagen is everywhere, EDS can affect joints, skin, blood vessels, digestion, autonomic function, and more. For many warriors, it means living with chronic pain, joint instability, dislocations, fatigue, bruising, or symptoms that seem unrelated yet stem from the same underlying cause.

There are multiple subtypes of EDS, each with its own challenges and complexities. From Hypermobile EDS (hEDS) to Classical, Vascular, and the rarer genetic forms, every subtype brings unique experiences that are often misunderstood, minimized, or misdiagnosed for years.

This space honours every EDS warrior — and every family supporting them — whose journey includes flexibility that doesn’t feel like a superpower, fatigue that can’t be explained, and pain that others cannot see. By raising awareness for EDS and its subtypes, we create a space of inclusivity, understanding, and advocacy, ensuring that no warrior feels dismissed, overlooked, or alone.
